Maple Bowl with Turquoise Inlay. The maple comes from Utah, the Turquoise from China--a cosmopolitan bowl. The maple has nice shades of brown, red, and white. Would make an excellent fruit bowl with a surprise at the bottom for whoever takes the last piece of fruit. The effect I was going for here was to create the impression of a pool of turquoise lying at the bottom of the bowl, much like a desert pool deep in a sandstone canyon.
