Crab Apple Bowl. Salvaged from a tree trimming job in nearby Winthrop, WA. This is the first crab apple I've turned, and it's colors are really surprising--muted pastels. The grain is slightly more open than I find in varietal apple wood, making it look a bit more like mulberry. A functional piece showing off a simple but elegant form.
