Mystery Wood Bowl. I brought this piece of wood home in my luggage from Santa Barbara, California. I found it on the side of a residential street, set out for garbage pick-up. I thought the wood was one of the many species of oaks that thrive in California, but when I got around to turning the wood it was clearly not oak. And I have no idea what it is. The wood is light in weight and color. This particular piece is from a fork or crotch and shows beautiful grain in the bottom. I retained some of the natural bark in the edge of the bowl. Signed.
