Walnut Bowl. This is probably a piece of walnut out of California, though I had the blank lying around long enough that I can't be sure. Nice shades or brown with just a hint of purple, as visible in the lower photograph. The outer form also provides a comfortable place for the fingers when lifting the bowl. Footed with a bead detailed where the foot meets the body.
